On behalf of Civil Engineering students and faculty, it is my privilege to welcome all of you to our Department at Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratisthan’s College of Engineering. Kolhapur, Maharashtra. We are a team of highly qualified faculties having teaching and industry experience.
Civil Engineering Department has conducted some activities and planned for the year:
1. This year depart has conducted campus placement drive of core civil engineering company and placed 8 students with average three lac package.
2. The required customize training for the placement was provided to alumni by college inviting industry people. Similar trainings and campus drive are planned for this year also.
3. As Civil Engineering needs lots of Practical knowledge, lot of field visits are planned. Also department mentors and supports for field training/internship.
4. Apart from this department provide other skill development courses. Already Revit and E tabs training is provided to final year students and Q-GIS training and other trainings are scheduled in March and April month. Along with Civil Engineering software’s training of some other software’s like Matlab and JAVA is also provided to Civil Engineering students to prepare them for Mass recruitment in IT industry.
5. Student’s mentoring student of Civil Engineering department is very efficient and faculty personally take care of students and solve the academic and even other issues.
6. Students participate in various technical and extra curricular activities and department provide support and guidance to students. Students have received prizes in inter college technical events. Also three of our students have received Rs. 15000/-scholarship each from American Concrete Institute.
7. We provide support to Sports activities and many of our students are playing at University and State level.
On the whole, we are committed towards encourage students for Academic and other activities which will enhance their personality and make them field ready to face all the challenges in Industry and develop glorious career.
