Objectives

1. Innovation and promote the development of new ideas and solutions.

2.Exposure to entrepreneurship and facilitate the development of entrepreneurial skills among students and faculty members.

3. Support facilities to cater to the needs of startups and provide comprehensive startup services.

4. Partnerships and collaborations with other institutions to create a strong inter-institutional network.

5. Connections and establish a network within the regional and national startup ecosystem.

6. Partnerships with industries, corporations, and private entities to provide support and resources for startups.

7. Commercialization of technology and the transfer of innovative ideas into viable products and services.

Short-term Goals

1. Fostering critical thinking skills to inspire students and faculty members to cultivate their entrepreneurial abilities.

2. Establishing a Innovation and Incubation ecosystem by leveraging the resources available within the Institute.

3. Enhancing in-house competency development programs to harness the full potential of our incubators.

4. Strengthening intra and inter-institutional linkages with ecosystem enablers at various levels.

5. Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of entrepreneurial performance.

Long-term Goals

1. Establishing a comprehensive ecosystem for innovation, pre-incubation, incubation, and startup facilities on the campus.

2.Offering academic courses within the institute that focus on innovation, intellectual property rights (IPR), and startups.

3 .Encouraging and supporting incubators and startups in obtaining scientific and technical patents.

4. Promoting collaboration, co-creation, technology exchange, and commercialization efforts.

5.Nurturing successful innovations and startups emerging from the institute.

6.Increasing the rate of technical employment through self-employment opportunities provided by startups.

7. Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and measure entrepreneurial performance impact.

8. Contributing to the creation of societal, ethical, and technological entrepreneurs through the implementation of the National Innovation and Startup Policy.

Processes and Mechanisms

  • 1.Setting up a start-up and allowing students, faculty, and research staff to work part-time for the start-ups while studying/working.
  • 2.Creating facilities within the institution for supporting pre-incubation (e.g. IICs as per the guidelines by MHRD’s Innovation Cell, EDC, IEDC, New-Gen IEDC, Innovation Cell, Startup Cell, Student Clubs, etc.) and Incubation/acceleration by mobilizing resources from internal and external sources.
