Established in 2014, Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering is a premier institution located in the serene and green surroundings of Salokhenagar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the college is committed to imparting quality technical education with a forward-looking approach and strong academic values.
The college offers four undergraduate (B.Tech) programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Data Science Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, with a total approved intake of 360 students per year. All programs are designed in line with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles, ensuring a competency-driven and learner-centric academic environment.
In recognition of its academic standards and institutional practices, the college earned NAAC Accreditation for 5 years in 2024, a significant milestone that reflects our continuous efforts towards quality enhancement and accountability.
The campus is known for its clean, green, and student-friendly environment, fostering both academic and personal growth. A team of well-qualified and experienced faculty and dedicated non-teaching staff ensures smooth academic delivery and effective student support. Faculty members actively pursue continuous development through FDPs offered by NPTEL, SWAYAM, NITTTR, and leading national institutions.
Students benefit from various government scholarship schemes and a fleet of 10 modern buses providing convenient daily commutes from Kolhapur city and surrounding areas. Warm greetings from Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathisthan’s College of Engineering, Salokhenagar (DYPSN) Kolhapur!
It gives me immense pride and satisfaction to reflect upon the journey of DYPSN since its inception in 2014. Over the past decade, we have witnessed steady and meaningful growth—both in numbers and in quality. Today, in 2025, DYPSN stands strong with over 1400 students enrolled across 4 undergraduate programs, supported by a dedicated team of 60 plus faculty members and a robust academic and infrastructural ecosystem.
This progress is not by chance but the result of the collective efforts of our students, their ever-supportive parents, our accomplished alumni, committed faculty and staff, and the visionary guidance of our esteemed management. Together, we have created an environment that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures talent and builds character.
Our infrastructure reflects our commitment to excellence—with 10 classrooms equipped with smart boards, 3 additional rooms with high-quality projection systems, state-of-the-art laboratories, and a reliable transport facility ensuring accessibility and convenience. These facilities, combined with a student-centric approach, have translated into remarkable academic results, quality placements, and numerous students successfully clearing national-level assessments like TCS NQT.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering Salokhenagar Kolhapur is an affiliated college of Shivaji University located in Salokhenagar. Kolhapur, Maharashtra. It is a private un-aided institution established in the year 2014. Dr. D.Y. Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering has students studying in various disciplines of engineering with well qualified faculty/teachers giving a healthy student pupil ratio. Our faculties are able to provide innovative and practical teaching to our students which help in overall development of the students. In order to support the students and faculties in their academic excellence the college has a full-fledged library with over 3300 volumes of various technical and non-technical publications. The library is well equipped with a good collection of books and other relevant study material also.
